Other countries and organizations

The CTI promotes the academic and professional recognition of the French engineering title. Since the engineering profession is not regulated in France and there is no institution of chartered engineers, the CTI is the natural point of contact for foreign organizations. In this capacity, the CTI has signed co-operation and mutual recognition agreements with institutions of chartered engineers and with other organizations.

French-speaking world

The Agence Universitaire pour la Francophonie (AUF) brings together about 850 Higher Education Institutions, which are totally or partially francophone.

AACRAO
In 2014, the CTI signed a Memorandum of understanding with the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). The AACRAO and the CTI agreed to collaborate and exchange information in order to improve transparency regarding the recognition of the French engineering degree in view of the admission of French engineering students or graduates to an AACRAO member university in the US. ABET
The CTI signed an agreement regarding the exchange of good practice with the quality assurance agency ABET, more information here: Abet-CTI cooperation.

Africa

In 2017, the CTI, the Hcéres and the Agence Française du Développement (AFD) established a tri-party patnership, which led to the organisation of training sessions on quality assurance by the CTI and the Hcéres for AFD project managers and in 2018 to a conference in Abidjan (Ivory Coast). More information on the event and the resulting strategic memo : “Prospects for the development of quality assurance policies and systems in the West and Central Africa and Sahel sub-region“.

In 2022, a project for cooperation was discussed during a visit of a delegation from Ivory Coast. Read more: Cooperation with Ivory Coast.

Australia

To facilitate the professional mobility of engineering graduates between Australia and France, the CTI has signed a recognition agreement with Engineers Australia. Read more: Agreement between the CTI and Engineers Australia.
