Accreditations in 2008-2009

Posted on

More than 2,000 students get each year an engineer degree from an accredited foreign institution.

Foreign engineering universities may be evaluated and accredited by CTI, either because they have strong partnerships with French institutions, and/or because they want to benefit from the CTI expertise and to improve their level of international recognition.

Foreign institutions may ask the French State for the official recognition of their curricula that have been positively assessed by CTI. This recognition implies an official agreement between the two governments.

The first step is the accreditation by CTI according to the procedure based on its standards fitted to the academic and industrial context of the concerned country.

The list of accredited foreign engineering degrees is published annually in the French Official Journal. Graduates holding a foreign engineering degree are entitled to have the same rights and levels of recognition in France as the graduates from French institutions.

In 2008-2009 :

two institutions (Ecole Royale militaire de Belgique, Institut international d’ingénierie de l’eau et de l’environnement, Ouagadougou) have received the CTI visiting team and will have the result for their accreditation in Spring 2009

In March 2009, the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria) and the Technical University in Chemistry ans Mettallurgy of Sofia will be evaluated

other institutions in Morocco, China are on the way to apply.
